Zakat al Fitr & Fidyah
Zakat al Fitr is paid by the head of a household for each member of the family. It is estimated to be $15 per person. It is highly recommended that this zakat be given before Eid prayer. Eid Prayers information will be announced closer to Eid. Eid is on Friday March 20th at the Royal Banquet Hall. Zakat ul Fitr (also known as Fitrah) is a charitable donation of food that must be given before Eid prayer, before the end of the month of Ramadan, for the love of Allah. GEMS: a Special Needs Support Group
Being a caregiver to a loved one with disabilities can be tough but you’re not alone. That is why we have started GEMS (Guardians of Exclusively Made Souls) Support Group. The purpose is for you to connect with other Guardians/Caregivers in a safe space who understand the unique challenges of caring for a loved one with disabilities. Share experiences, find emotional support, gain strength in understanding and using strategies to help accept, cope and care for the blessed soul bestowed upon you by Allah.
